Until recently I’d never heard of this flagship, mainly domestic-market offering from Toyota. It’s called the Toyota Century and its been in production since 1967. In that time only two generations of the car have been produced. This is the brogue, black footwear of the automotive world. The car is staid, conservative, largely handmade, and the best of what Toyota has to offer. The ride in a 40-year-old Century is said to still outclass much of what is available today.
